چکیده

1— Vehicular Delay-Tolerant Network (VDTN) appears as a particular application of the Delay-Tolerant Network (DTN) concept to transit networks. In this paper we analyze the use of a VDTN to provide asynchronous Internet access on a rural remote region scenario. Through simulation we evaluate the impact of a shortest path based movement model on the performance of four DTN routing protocols in respect to message delivery probability and message average delay.

A Goal Programming Model for Single Vehicle Routing Problem with Multiple Routes

The single vehicle routing problem with multiple routes is a variant of the vehicle routing problem where the vehicle can be dispatched to several routes during its workday to serve a number of customers. In this paper we propose a goal programming model for multi-objective single vehicle routing problem with time windows and multiple routes. To solve the model, we present a heuristic method wh...

Using a Fuzzy Rule-based Algorithm to Improve Routing in MPLS Networks

Today, the use of wireless and intelligent networks are widely used in many fields such as information technology and networking. There are several types of these networks that MPLS networks are one of these types. However, in MPLS networks there are issues and problems in the design and implementation discussion, for example security, throughput, losses, power consumption and so on. Basically,...

A Novel Protection Guaranteed, Quality of Transmission Aware Routing and Wavelength Assignment Algorithm for All-optical Networks

Transparent All Optical Networks carry huge traffic and any link failure can cause the loss of gigabits of data; hence protection and its guarantee becomes necessary at the time of failure. Many protection schemes were presented in the literature, but none of them speaks about protection guarantee. Also, in all optical networks, due to absence of  regeneration capabilities, the physical layer i...

Investigating the effect of structural form of outdoor path of residential complexes on improving the routing of people in emergency situations

Background and Objective: Due to the importance of time in choosing the optimal routing to reduce the damage caused by accidents in critical situations such as earthquakes, fires, etc., the structural form of the route has a significant impact on the selection of people in emergencies. It can also be very effective in the work for designers, managers and urban planners for disaster risk managem...

Shortest-path Routing in Homogeneous Point-to-Point Networks With Virtual Cut-Through Switching

Much research in recent years has focused on various routing strategies for supporting ee-cient communication in point-to-point networks. Other research has emphasized novel switching techniques, such as virtual cut-through and wormhole switching. However, little attention has been paid to the subtle interplay between routing and switching schemes. It is desirable to select routing strategies t...
